Dr. Evil's FAQ’s

What is “Dr. Evil’s Haunted Houses”?  It is a 8 different walk-through haunted house attraction that contains the finest detailed sets and props anywhere in the world.  Add to that bloodthirsty actors trained in the latest “hardcore” scare tactics and Dr. Evil’s will be the “must see” attractions in the Charlotte area this haunting season.  This terrifying haunted house is re-opening after a 6 year hiatus with more bite than ever. A high startle, low gore haunted house. Groups of 5-8 customers will travel together to challenge all of the terrors that Dr. Evil has in store for them.  The haunted house will also have additional attractions outside to give customers a festive atmosphere. This attraction was created by the world famous Morris Costumes, supplier of motion picture, TV, and amusement parks worldwide. You have seen their work even in the James Bond movies. In 1967, Morris sold a gorilla suit to Roger Patterson which he used to film the "BigFoot" hoax. You will see that costume displayed at Dr. Evil's Haunted Houses. The title "Dr. Evil" came from the award winning Morris TV series later inspired the movie.

Is it too scary for young children?  Most children won’t go in the haunted house if it’s too scary because of hearing customers screaming inside the show.  It is not recommended for kids under 10, however, some kids are brave and others aren’t.  It really depends on the individual.

Can the actors touch you?  No, the actors don’t touch you and you don’t touch them either!  However, it is possible for you to bump into someone in the dark but it is usually someone in your group.

Do you have group rates?  Yes, but call the number on the price page. You will receive a 50% discount that is $9.00 per person. Group has to consist of 13 or more people that plan to attend the haunted house to receive a group rate. You can call the phone number listed on our price page for more details.

How long is the wait in line?  Lines are longer on weekend nights especially the closer to Halloween it is.  During slower nights the wait is much less.  However, this show is capable of running groups rather quickly when necessary.

Can I be an actor?  Anyone interested in being an actor should call the info number and leave a message.  All hiring will be completed about a week before the show opens.
